That the easy way to create a drop down menu is to find a software program such as Macromedia DreamWeaver, MS front page, or an application specifically to produce awesome drop down menus with little to no web/computer experience. In order to learn, and fully understand, and be able to simplify relatively difficult process of custom drop down fabrication.

Hopefully I have given enough of an intro, and please feel free to adapt studied and implement the menu solutions I provide through this workshop for free. Some drop down menus work and look fine to an average user, but many popular methods of implementing a drop down menu will severely reduce the likely hood that Goggle, Yahoo, And/or MSN will follow the links contained in a JavaScript file or menu generator engine or whatever. SO, I did some investigating and as I suspected: the drop down menus that always catch my eye while surfing the web I new those menus Looked way too good and worked way too well to be anything produced using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. DHTML is a powerful way to create drop down menu web site navigation. I must admit that DHTML drop downs always did catch my attention. Naturally they became the object of my curiosity.

Generally, with these menu making software types, what you will do is: purchase an admin program that allows people to create customized , high quality drop down menu and implement it directly into an html page. Much like Front Page much of of the well known as a menu method that's well designed and sold as highly functional bull crap.

So I set out to re-create some of the Internet best looking and most functional drop down menu solutions, while adhering to browser independent usability guidelines, in conformance with

Web visibility and accessibility standards. The time has come for a cleaner, lighter, and super search engine friendly CSS drop down menu method!

The amount of main menu categories must mach the number of drop down menus, everything is scaleable so as long as you keep the main categories and the drop downs even there is no limit. The number of hypertext anchors listed in the unordered navigation lists is also scaleable and is only limited by the amount of menu options that will fit on a users computer screen without having to scroll down past the "fold" to try to select a hypertext button on an over extended drop down list.
